Biographie
Kick Connection opened its doors in 1989 as a premiere martial arts institution. Since then, this world champion martial arts school has had a positive impact on the countless students who have come through its doors. Offering Taekwon Do, Eskrima, Cardio Kickboxing, and Zumba, Kick Connection has something for everyone! As a member of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), Kick Connection teaches the purest form of this art, as spelled out by the founder of both Taekwon-Do and the ITF, General Choi Hong Hi. In 1999, Kick Connection was crowned as the ITF's regional school of the year. Kick Connection's chief instructor, Mr. Carlos E. Patalinghug, currently ranks as a 6th Dan Black Belt in Taekwon-Do. In addition, he is the ITF's Director for the state of Maryland. Kick Connection is a member of the World Eskrima, Kali, Arnis Federation (WEKAF). Under the guidence of undefeated champion, Ciriaco "Cacoy" Canete, who is one of the founders of Doce Pares style, Kick Connection has become a dominant force in the world of Eskrima. In this art, Mr. Carlos (as he is called by his students) currently holds a 9th Degree Black Sash and is the East Coast Director of WEKAF. He, along with many of his students, has won multiple World Championship titles in this art. Through the years, Kick Connection has become much more than just a place to study martial arts.
